Smart Chicks Kick It Tour - Montreal Book Signing!

Hello fellow book lovers!!!

Some of you may remember me being excited after hearing the announcement a few months ago, that The Smart Chicks Kick It Tour was going to have a tour stop here in Montreal. 

 After months of anticipation, endless chatting and texting with book blogger friends from Montreal, Ottawa, and Sudbury, the tour date had finally arrived! I had the amazing opportunity of attending the Smart Chicks Kick It Tour stop right here at the Chapters in Pointe-Claire yesterday!!!

 

The night before the signing, I could barely sleep, so I decided to prepare my books for the event! 

*warning: there are MANY books in the pictures to come which may cause some drooling, laughing, and driving people insane... please view at your own risk!*

Due to the signing policy stating that people attending the event could get three books signed per author per lineup, I decided to bundle my books in piles of three (per author). The zip lock bags helped me keep track of which books I got signed and how many lineups I would need to do in order to get all my books signed.

I somehow managed to fit all my books in one carry on luggage, and another bag that had wheels. (The Chapter's staff sure did get a kick out of it when they saw me rolling them in LOL!)

I also brought two bags filled with books to give to other bloggers as a R.A.K. :).

This whole process of me organizing the books and taking pictures kept me awake until the early hours of the morning. After a few hours of sleep, and still running on excitement for the book signing, I was heading off to the bookstore where the event was being held!

 Before I continue my book signing recap, like my awesome friend Cindy at Cindy's Love Of Books did in her book signing recap post, I'd like to take this opportunity to give a shout out to Tamara!

Tamara is the manager of the children's section at Chapters Pointe-Claire, and she made the experience so amazing. Thank you Tamara, we appreciate everything you did for us at the signing! DUDE you ROCK! :) lol. Also a friendly reminder to you that I'm expecting a rocking review for Tiger's Curse to post on the blog whenever you have the chance! hehe :)

There is also a huge thank you going out to Mathieu, Chapters Marketing Manager for Eastern Canada! (You will see a picture of him in a group picture further down the post!)

I have one last thank you before I continue. I'd like to thank my cousin, Louisa, for coming to the event to help me get my books signed!

When Tynga - Tynga's Reviews and I arrived at Chapters, the stage was set up and there was already quite a few people already at the event. 

Thankfully our awesome friend Cindy at Cindy's Love Of Books arrived at the signing a little earlier than Tynga and I, and saved us some seats! 

As more people arrived, approximately 200 or so, and as we were waiting for the book signing to begin, we took the opportunity to take pictures with our book blogger friends from Ottawa and Sudbury!

After having our picture taking fun, and the employees at Chapters playing games to hand out prizes, the authors arrived!!!

Once the Q&A session ended, we all got in line to get our books signed!!!

 

First up was Rosemary! 

She signed all 5 books that I owned and she even gave me a cute pin because I own the original covers to her series! She also slipped in some book marks into my books when I wasn't looking haha :).

Next were the two Melissas! (I called them M-squared LOL!)

 I was so happy when Melissa de la Cruz remembered having met me at the Salon du Livres here in Montreal last November!  She had already signed most of the books I owned from her, so this time around she only had to sign 5.

I got all 10 of the books I owned by Melissa Marr signed as well!

Next I got to meet the two halves of the Beautiful Creatures series, Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl!

I just have to say that this duo kept me laughing the entire time. They were quite the pair keeping everyone entertained throughout the event!

Margaret and Kami signed some bookmarks for me in addition to the 4 books I owned by them, and they also signed extra bookmarks so that I could give away here on the blog (post to come soon!)

Next in line was Rachel Caine! I wasn't able to get a picture with Rachel as there were way too many people in line at the time unfortunately. It was really great having the opportunity to meet her, she mentioned what she's currently working on and I can't wait for its release! Rachel graciously gave me an extra bookmark and emergency contact card to give away as well (post to come up soon)!

Lastly, I had the pleasure of meeting my MOST FAVORITE AUTHOR EVER, Kelley Armstrong! *SQUEE!* :).

Kelley graciously signed all of the 25 books I owned by her (after having gone in line quite a few times) and we kept telling each other "see you soon!" after every lineup lol! It was really great finally getting the chance to meet Kelley in person, and she was really awesome to chat with :). She also thanked me for hosting the Women of the Otherworld Reading Challenge!!!

Once the book signing came to an end, we asked to have a few last group photos before we all went home.

I had such an amazing time at the book signing, getting to meet friend bloggers from out of town, meeting all the authors, and getting all of my books signed! Thank you Kelley Armstrong and Melissa Marr for organizing the tour to have a stop here in Montreal! Another thank you once again to the Chapters staff for all your patience with the craziness and thank you all for making this one of the most memorable days ever :)!
