This is the sixteenth Follow Friday posting on by blog.
For those of you who don't know, Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee at ParaJunkee's View where there’s a great opportunity to meet new bloggers!
This week’s question:
Follow Friday: Can you tell us FIVE quirky habits or things about you? We all have them...
1. I am an obsessive organizer! I can be organizing the same rooms for weeks at a time, constantly looking for ways to keep things better organized than they are.
2. I am EXTREMELY afraid of the dark. At night I prepare my bed just the way I want it to be, close the light and run into bed and get under the covers as fast as I can. After watching way to many movies and reading tons of scary books, I fear something supernatural being present in my room while I turn off the light.
3. I like the smell of gas, nothing too strong, just the faint smell of it like when you pass by the gas station.
4. I hate getting my books damaged, especially when it's a little tiny bend at the corners or folded pages. I found a great solution to this by keeping the books I'm currently reading in different size Zip lock bags so that they are safe when I place them in my school bag or purse.
5. I can sing the alphabet backwards by heart in the same tune as saying it the right way LOL.
**NOTE**: For those of you who follow me through Follow Friday make sure to leave your link so that I can follow back! :)
Have a lovely weekend all and Happy Reading!

Stopping by from FF and a new follower! I share your quirky habit#1 as well. One of the many reasons why I carry wads of tissues in my purse.

New follower! I am definitely with you on the dark thing. After all these supernatural books I always check under my bed and in my closet! Have a great Friday!

Hey stopping by from Follow Friday. Wow, we both can sing the alphabet backwards!!! Hey maybe we could sing it together in harmony!!!

New follower stopping by from FF here. I can relate to your number 1 and 2. I'm a compulsive furniture re-organizer. Our living room has been re-arranged no less than 5 times this year. I probably should have put that on my list. As for number 2, my mom's friend thought it would be funny to let me watch Tremors when I was a kid. My feet didn't touch the floor on the way to bed for years. I still feel a little iffy about it to this day. Hope you have a great Friday!
ReplyDeleteHi Lucy,
ReplyDeleteI'm the same way with my books. I hate any crinkles or damage to them.
Here's my Follow Friday
Monique
Hopping through. I used to be afraid of the dark, but now I can only sleep in total darkness.
ReplyDeleteMy Hop
Thanks for visiting me at Hands and Home, I am now following you back! I thought you were only half serious about the ziplock bags. But it is an excellent idea- I'll have to start doing that when my mom borrows my books!
ReplyDeleteI use to do that when I was younger and had a bed that stuff could go under. Turn off the light and run and jump on to the bed missing the space underneath.
ReplyDeleteOne of the perks of NOT reading scary books is that I have no problem with the dark. :) Actually, I'm a huge chicken so I cannot read anything even remotely scary. I enjoy sleep too much to even try. I'm an old follower just hoppin' through. Happy Friday!

Oh my gosh! I am terribly afraid of the dark too! It always makes me feel so childish because 22 year olds aren't supposed to really believe there are monsters lurking under their bed. If I am alone, I have to have a small night light on. If I have someone in the room with me (friend or boyfriend) I don't always have to have a light, though I still prefer it. Also, I run and leap into my bed once the light is off too. AND! Up until a few years ago, I checked under my bed everynight before bed. I don't know what I expected to find-- boogeyman? Vampires? Crocodiles? Killers? I say "up until recently" because when I replaced my twin mattress with a double mattress, I didn't bother replacing the bed frame, so now my bed sits directly on the floor. Let's see monsters slide under than now!

I know someone who gets excited over the smell of new tires! I could use your organizational skills. Right now the task seems daunting, though I love to be organized.

I can completely relate to the zip lock bags after I spilled tea all over my copy of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and since then the pages are all crinkly.

Hey , following back. I love that you sing the alphabet backwards, i can't do that. Happy FF ;)
ReplyDeleteWow, that's pretty impressive that you can sing the alphabet backwards! I'm getting confused just thinking about it. :)
ReplyDeleteO_O! That is awesome about the alphabet! So Cool!! New follower so I hope you have a Happy FF and Blog hop! Just skipping through. Hope you have a fab weekend!
ReplyDeleteI like the smell of gas too.
ReplyDeleteYou need a remote controlled light. My husband I have one in our bedroom and we love it. It saves us from fighting about who gets to turn the light off. But, it would save you from having to run to your bed.
Lol I have always admired people who can say the alphabet backwards! Just started following you, saw you on Follow Friday.

This is a fun question. I’m learning so much about everybody and I don’t think most of us are as quirky as we think we are.
ReplyDeleteMy quirks seem normal enough. As I wrote them I woke up to the fact a lot of my quirks create inner conflicts. I’ve got a lot to think about!

Great list of quirks. Old follower.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could say the alphabet backwards let alone sing it.
1. I love to smell new books.
ReplyDelete2. I am afraid of rails.
3. I have a weird obsession with shape and symmetry.
4. I get annoyed with misused commas.
5. I have to edit posts multiple times to make sure they look good.
Btw, I have a thing about organization too. Nice to find like-minded freaks. :D New follower.
ReplyDeleteNew follower from the hops. I am also mad on organisation! I visited Montreal in 2007 and thought it was a wonderful place!
ReplyDeleteNicki J Markus
